Bill Hagaman was part of COMMERCE magazine’s Annual Managing Partners Roundtable editorial piece, discussing the three key areas to consider when in the process of an M&A. Bill was also part of the Restore the Shore panel discussion, hosted by the Jersey Shore Public Relations & Advertising Association (JSPRAA), which was directed to local business owners impacted by Sandy. The panel, coordinated by our own Karen Coviello (RB marketing coordinator) who is 2nd VP at JSPRAA, also included local executives from Jenkinson’s, Manasquan Savings Bank, Crab’s Claw Inn and Windmill restaurants. Great thought leadership for a great cause!

Jim Bourke (RB partner) presented to a packed room last week on the topic of “Technology & Social Networking for Accounting” at the NJSCPA Scholar’s Institute. He was also published in the latest issue of New Jersey CPA magazine with his article, “Using Technology Metrics at Your Firm.”

Tony Nitti (CO/PR partner) hit the airwaves on with a live interview about how tax savings may prompt free agent NBA player Dwight Howard to leave L.A. for Houston or Dallas.

Scott Mariani (MO partner), co-director of our firm’s Healthcare Services group, presented a webinar on May 22 on the topic of “New Code Section 501(r) Applicable to Tax-Exempt Hospital Organizations.”

Sarah Cirelli (senior marketing coordinator) was interviewed on Hunterdon Chamber Radio, sharing her thoughts on social media. She was also published in the NJ Builder’s Association June newsletter with her article, “Are you getting Better or Just Busier? How to Start Using Social Media to Supercharge your Marketing.”

Karen Henderson (MO manager) and Ian Taylor (MO staff level II) contributed to the summer issue of NJ-HFMAs Garden State Focus, with their article, “Exempt Organization Annual Report and Workplan.” Additionally, Lew Bivona (PR partner) shares his article, “Expanding Medicaid Eligibility, Why it is a Good Deal for NJ.” And Dave Springsteen’s (PR partner) recent tax tip, “Six Social Media Tools to Get Free Tax Information,” is also shared in the Focus on Finance section.

Lou Sandor (RB partner) was published in the New Jersey Builder’s Association June newsletter, Cutting Edge, with his Tax Update article.

Brian Lovett (PR senior manager) was published in the recent issue of the New Jersey Real Estate Journal with his article, “Real Estate Professionals – The IRS simplifies available relief.”


Congrats to Bill Hagaman and Frank Boutillette (NYC partner) who have been recognized in NJSCPA’s “50 Over 50” program for their contributions to the accounting profession, the Society and their communities. They will be featured in the July/August issue of New Jersey CPA magazine.

And congratulations to Jessica Woolley (TR intern), who was the recipient of a $1000 scholarship from the Brick Township Chamber of Commerce Educational Foundation. Congrats, Jessica! What a way to start your summer!
