Tony Nitti (Partner and Forbes.com tax columnist) visited the JP Morgan offices in NYC on May 7 as part of three-person panel covering the topic of, “Understanding the Net Investment Income Tax.” Directed to the firm’s executives and employees, other presenters included tax partners with PwC and Deloitte. Well done, Tony!
WS+B was a big part of the NJSCPA North Jersey and Monmouth-Ocean Chapters’ Financial Professionals Group conference on May 8, with Barry Horowitz (Partner and SALT niche member) presenting on “State Taxation, Residency Requirements and Credit for Taxes Paid” and Sarah Cirelli (Marketing Manager) presenting on “Interactive and Digital Marketing Strategies.” Very nice!
John Daly (Manager and SALT niche member) shared his thought leadership to the Baruch College accounting students, offering up a Nexus/Apportionment lecture on May 11. John was invited by Ray Russolillo (Partner), who is a Baruch professor teaching a partnership tax course this semester. So scholarly!
On May 13 and 14, Wendy Terry (Partner and ERISA niche member) was a co-presenter for two sessions on the topic “Fundamentals of ASC 820” at the 2014 Employee Benefits Practice (EBP) National Conference in Las Vegas, NV. Terrific thought leadership!
