On Wednesday, September 17, the Morristown office had their inaugural Management vs. Staff softball game — a challenge that grew out of some playful ribbing as a result of Morristown’s quick elimination from the playoffs of their softball league. However, the Young Guns of the office got the last laugh as they left the field with an 11-10 victory — a hard fought win that occurred in extra innings.
The highly attended game was never short on excitement. While the Staff team (consisting of personnel at the level of Senior and below) possessed an extended 5-1 lead, the Management team (Supervisors and above) was clearly going to put up a fight. Unfortunately, Management’s great defensive plays were ultimately not enough to hold down the Staff. After a critically timed grand slam, victory was clinched for the Staff team.
