Go Red For Women

MP MessageHappy Ground Hog Day!!

Well we all had a great game to watch last evening. Congratulations to the Patriots fans in the firm.

Looks like we have snowy/rainy weather effecting some of our offices this morning. Please be safe when traveling to the office or clients and use prudent judgment.

As you are aware, WithumSmith+Brown fully supports health and wellness initiatives in the workplace. Living a healthy life is important to each and every one of us.

February is American Heart Month. The members of Withum’s Women’s Leadership Development Initiative (WLDI) have organized a week of awareness and education related to heart disease and prevention through healthy living for both men and women. These efforts are to promote the Go Red for Women program supporting the mission of the American Heart Association.

Did you know that heart disease is not only the No. 1 killer of women, but the leading cause of death in the United States? It’s a shocking fact. We hope you will support the cause this week by wearing red on Tuesday, viewing the various videos and articles that will be shared, giving one of the heart healthy recipes you’ll be seeing a try, and making a Jeans Day donation to the American Heart Association on Friday.

Too busy to think about heart disease? Spend just one minute watching this video, “What it Means to Go Red.”

Get your numbers
Own your lifestyle

Realize your risk
Education your family
Don’t be silent

This is a great reminder to everyone. For yourself and for those you love, find out your risk for heart disease by scheduling a health screening with your doctor or, at the very least, by participating in the health screening we provide to our staff in June.

Have a great.. and healthy… week.
