  • Ted Nappi and Hal Terr, Private Wealth Management Services Partners and Practice Co-Leaders, gave a two-hour Estate and Tax Update CLE webinar presentation co-sponsored with AXA Advisors on December 10. Good stuff!
  • Randy Paulikens, Partner and Litigation Support Services Team Leader, was a panel presenter on the Knowledge Group Webcast, “Practical E-Discovery Advice for Lawyers LIVE Webcast,” on December 16 with over 100 in attendance. Really great showing!
  • Scott Davis, partner and International Services niche member, was a panel presenter on a different Knowledge Group Webcast, “OECD Standard for Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information in Tax Matters: What it Means for Your Business in 2015 and Beyond” also on December 16. Audience members included over a dozen people from Europe who joined the webinar in the middle of the evening their time. Excellent!
  • Lina Gnesin, Manager and Healthcare Services niche member, presented a webinar on “Year-End Employer Annual Payroll Reporting Requirements” on December 17. This is her third consecutive year for presenting this highly anticipated year-end program. Well done!
  • Ed Mendlowitz, Partner and Partners’ Network Founder, recently had his latest book published and posted to the CPA Trendlines Store, Tax Season Opportunity Guide: 27 Ways to Make More Money, Service Clients Better, and Have More Fun. Way to go, Ed!


  • Jim Hannan, Partner, was recently elected as a member of the board of the Somerset Business Partnership. Well done, Jim!
  • Hayley Shulman, Manager, recently received her first board appointment, joining the YWCA Bergen County Board of Directors for a three year term. The YWCA’s mission is “to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.” Well done, Hayley!
  • A few Withum professionals took some time out of their busy schedules to give back to the profession as part of the NJCPA Pay-It Forward program:
    • Robert Schachter, Partner, spoke to seven classes at Bridgewater Raritan High school (NJ), discussing the benefits of accounting and becoming a CPA;
    • Jose Antunes, Red Bank office Director of Operations, and Christina Lazaro, Manager, spoke with students at Toms River East H.S. (NJ) about careers in accounting, also to a total of 7 classes. Jose shared it was by far the best class they’ve had so far. Well done!
  • Amanda Wilkie, our firm’s CIO, presented at the Year Up Women in Tech program on “How to be a Purple Unicorn” on December 18, providing inspiration to a room full of female college students on growing their careers in a challenging but exciting industry.  I was privileged to sit in on the program, too; the young ladies really enjoyed hearing from a seasoned professional like Amanda. Really great!
  • A big CONGRATS to Lisa Galinsky, Senior Manager, who was named Board Member of the Year by the Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Monmouth County. Tremendous!
  • Kudos to Lauren Taguer, Manager, who was awarded with a certificate of appreciation at a special ceremony for being a part of the Monmouth University’s Business School SEEMA Mentoring program, recognizing her for her efforts in mentoring their students.  Excellent, Lauren!
