Belated Happy Valentine’s day to everyone…..i trust you all survived the record low temperatures that most of us had this weekend…..alas, spring is on the way, the first sign is pitchers and catchers report this week.
If you recall from the State of the Firm event, I shared about our newest staff recognition program… Withum Buck$. We are excited to announce the official launch today!
Withum Buck$ is a “spot award” that can be given immediately upon witnessing outstanding staff performance, effort, or achievement. The program provides an opportunity for Seniors, Supervisors, Managers, Senior Managers, Principals, and Department Heads (the ‘grantors’) to recognize and reward individual staff members (or teams) to celebrate their successes. The grantors will receive an envelope of Withum Buck$ this week to begin using right away.
Awards will range from $50 to $500. Exact amounts will be at the discretion of the grantor who is dispensing them. However, below is a general guideline:
- Level A: ($50 – $150) – Recognizes effort beyond normal performance expectations; typically the staff person might exercise initiative by developing a new approach to a task or might put forth extra effort resulting in early completion of a routine task or project.
- Level B: ($150 – $300) –Level B is a way to recognize someone who takes extra steps to resolve a troublesome situation, puts forth a particularly efficient or resourceful effort, or in some special way does something that benefits the firm, the office, the team, or a co-worker.
- Level C: ($300 – $500) – Recognizes exceptional contributions; someone whose effort clearly can be considered “going significantly above and beyond the call of duty.”
Withum Buck$ will be redeemed on your expense report. Simply purchase something equivalent to the value earned and submit it for reimbursement on your expense report. 2016 Withum Buck$ will expire on 12/31/2016 and must be redeemed by the January 2017 expense cycle.
Specific details of the program and how to redeem your Withum Buck$ can be found in the attached document. If you have any further questions about the program, please contact Joan Kampo, Director of Human Resources, or another member of our HR team.
