  • Michael Roppo, Director of Dealer Fixed Operations Consulting and Training with the Automotive Services niche, shared his thought leadership with his article published on CBTNews.com, “Linking People, Performance and Profitability.” Very impressive!
  • Timeshare Niche Practice Leaders and Partners Tom Durkee and Lena Combs were published in the March issue of Developments, a timeshare industry trade magazine, with their article, “Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act (PATH) of 2015: Extension of Tax Benefits.” Excellent!
  • Thomas McCormick, Senior Manager, was published in the first-quarter issue of the South Carolina CPA Report with his article, “Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act (PATH) of 2015.” Well done!
  • Tony Tuths, Partner and Financial Services Practice Leader, was quoted in the March 16 Bloomberg Business article, “Tepper’s Most Profitable 2015 Trade May be Moving to Miami,” discussion NJ’s most wealthy resident moving to tax friendly Florida. Terrific!
  • Erik Halluska, Manager and Timeshare Niche member, presented at the RCI Lunch & Learn on March 21 in Myrtle Beach to 60 resort managers about Withum and our services to the timeshare and resort industry. Very nice!
  • Barry Horowitz, Partner and SALT Team Leader, presented to members of the High Ridge Country Club in Florida on March 31 on the topic of residency with his program, “The Do’s and Don’ts and the Traps: Home is Where the House is – Or is it?”
  • Tom Angell and Steve Yardumian, Partners and Financial Services team leaders, were part of several panel discussions at the PartnerConnect East Coast Conference in Boston April 4-6. Additionally, Tom was quoted in the March 16 FundFire.com article, “CalPERS, CalSTRS Data Law Set to Rattle Private Equity.” Excellent!
  • Ed Mendlowitz, Partner and Partners’ Network Founder, presented a webinar he developed for CCH on Essential Auditing for Individual Growth on March 2.  On March 8, he gave a short presentation on the opportunities for CPAs with nonpublic clients in getting involved with Corporate Responsibility Reporting at the NYSSCPA’s Sustainability Committee.  And on March 23, Ed gave a speech to 120 people in Boca Raton, FL who were members of a private group called “Company A” on “How Warren Buffett Did It.” Very nice, Ed!
  • Construction Services Team members Paul Kuhl, Senior Manager, and Michael Yarrow, Senior Manager, were published in the latest edition of NJ Builders Association magazine Dimensions, with their articles, “Succession Planning in the Construction Industry” and “IC-DISC – Tax Savings for International A/E Firms.”  Great job!
  • Paul Kuhl was also interviewed by the Rider University campus radio station, 107.7 WRRC FM about careers at Withum and the candidates they were meeting with at their career fair on March 24. Nice!
  • Robin Word, Senior Manager and Construction Niche member, presented a Construction Tax Update to the Central Florida Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) on March 16. Well done!
  • Ray Bastin, Senior Manager and Technology Niche member, gave a presentation to Starter Studio on March 21 on “Designing a Financial Model for Startups.” Fabulous!
  • Congrats to Jay Shepulski, Partner and Financial Services team leader, who is one of this year’s winners of the prestigious M&A Advisor’s Annual Emerging Leaders Awards.  The celebration will take place on Friday, June 10th, when M&A Advisor will host a black tie Awards Gala at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan to introduce the Emerging Leaders Award Winners to the business community and celebrate their achievements. Way to go, Jay!
