With growth comes opportunity, and there has certainly been plenty of both at Withum lately. We recently created a new role within the firm’s organizational structure: Chief Talent Officer (CTO). On May 1, Theresa Richardson, CPA, Partner, was promoted to this role. She is the embodiment of our corporate culture – the ‘Withum Way’ – and we are excited to build upon our talent infrastructure with this addition.
Theresa is now responsible for shaping the vision and strategic leadership of Withum’s talent management initiatives. She will spearhead our firm’s entire talent lifecycle and identify and implement strategies to acquire, develop and retain the best-in-class talent for which our firm has become known. Responsibilities will include the oversight of our firm’s Human Resources Department and all of the initiatives which fall under that department’s umbrella: Career Coaching, Leadership Training, Manager Training, Partner Development, and CPE for all levels of staff. Theresa will also provide oversight of our firm’s recruitment process.
A little about Theresa: she joined the firm in 1997, rising through the ranks to partner in 2011. She is a graduate of Rider University where she serves on the Advisory Council. Widely recognized for her professional and community outreach involvement, Theresa was named a “Best 50 Women in Business” in 2013, to Rider University’s Hall of Fame in 2014 and a recipient of Raritan Valley Community College’s Distinguished Alumni Award last year.
