I trust everyone had a great Father’s Day weekend and enjoyed some much deserved family time.
This week, I’d like to share about a few recent accolades which recognize important aspects of our culture:
Joan Kampo, Director of Human Resources, was honored as a NJCPA Diversity & Impact Inclusion Award Winner. This award recognizes professionals with an outstanding commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. The recipients were announced last week at the NJCPA Convention & Expo and have been posted on the NJCPA website at njcpa.org/awards. Joan will also be featured in the September/October issue of New Jersey CPA magazine.
Additionally, the Marketing Department walked away with three AAM-MAAs (Association of Accounting Marketing- Marketing Achievement Awards) at the annual gala which was held during the AICPA ENGAGE conference last week. The first award was for the Breaking Stereotypes video spotlighting our firm’s culture and expertise; the second for the #StrengthStory social media campaign, which is in essence an external-facing Strength Awards program; and the third was the “We AAM to Serve” award recognizing firms with strong community outreach initiatives, honoring Withum for its Staff Hardship Relief Fund.
Finally, Matt Basilo, Marketing Manager, ended his 10-week fundraising campaign in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, culminating in the awards dinner this past Thursday. Having raised over $62,000 (wow!), he was named the recipient of the Beacon of Hope award, which was a special recognition for his outstanding efforts. Withum was a proud sponsor of this event and of Matt’s efforts.
I’ve said it many times before, but it can’t be said enough… the cornerstone of our firm’s success are the loyal and talented professionals who work here every day, dedicating themselves to our clients, to our communities and to each other. We are proud of the many incredible team members who are great ambassadors of our firm, demonstrating the Withum Way philosophy in the public accounting profession and in our communities. The awards described in this email truly underscore this sentiment.
